Every Friday evening, we went to Lia’s Mountain View for dinner, a drink, and lots of people. We preferred the tap room, around the U-shaoed bar. That’s where you meet people — see friends and get to make new ones.
For a while, until the pandemic hit, they had oysters on Tuesdays. So, that was 2 night s a week we ate and met at Lia’s. I made this this film to celebrate the oysters.
The family that ran the restaurant for 40 years needed to retire. They were lucky to find a buyer, who the building into an event and party space.
The town was unlucky to lose a very special bridging place.
